What is the Move Rolla TDD Program?
Move Rolla TDD is a five year program put in place to implement the transportation projects identified in the Move Rolla Strategy and approved by Rolla district voters in January 2017. The transportation improvements will develop a transportation system that meets the needs of all people and modes and promotes a safe, healthy community and economic opportunities for the next 20 years.
Why do we need this program?
The City of Rolla, Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T), Phelps County Regional Medical Center, and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) recognized the need for transportation improvements to address existing transportation needs as well as growth of the community including the Westside marketplace, University enrollment, hospital expansion and other transportation needs identified in the Move Rolla Transportation Strategy.
How long will the construction take?
Move Rolla TDD is a five-year program that will include a series of individual projects around the city. Each project will go through planning, design and construction phases. Each project differs in timing. In order to keep the public engaged, the project team will be updating the project site, holding public meetings, sending out regular newsletters as well as updating the City of Rolla’s social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

How will this impact my drive/walk to work/school?
Construction may impact the routes you take in your daily travel, be patient and obey the street signs. The project team will do everything possible to minimize the impact to your daily travel.
